Coast to Coast is the nationwide club for LABBS members, as well as members of affiliated clubs, who need a little more harmony in their lives. It was first formed in 1987 as an opportunity for members of LABBS to:
- sing in a large chorus,
- sing at Convention if their home chorus did not compete,
- or just to enjoy an extra day of harmony and friendship once a month.
Coast to Coast first met in September of that year in Leicester, under the direction of Cath Morton. There have been a succession of Directors over the years, the current Director is Angela Sanchez-Rosemurgey.
As well as many appearances at LABBS Convention, we have taken our harmonies to events in Holland, Spain, Ireland, Prague, and Germany, and most memorably, to the Buckeye Convention in Columbus, Ohio.
We meet during the daytime on the first Sunday of each month in Leicester and we invite any LABBS members to join us, particularly (but not limited to) Club at Large members. We are meeting by Zoom at the moment but hope to be together again in the near future. Do come and visit!
