What will the day be like?
Amongst other things, expect to do some judging (we are hoping to have some live contestants), explore the process of writing and giving evaluations and maybe even do some coaching. You'll pick up ideas and insights that you can take back to your group.

Do I have to want to pursue being a judge to attend?
No! We welcome all delegates who have taken part in some or all of the foundation course so far this year to take part in the final day, to bring it all together, in person, whether or not you are interested in becoming a judge.

If you are interested in applying to the judging programme this year or in the future, we'll have a short session just for those people, to explain the process moving forward. For your information BABS are not recruiting to their judging programme for this year's intake. LABBS will be opening up application to all three categories for a limited number of spaces.

Are you thinking of applying to the judging programme in BABS or LABBS?

We have announced our new joint recruitment and training programme.  It is expected that anyone accepted into the training programme will have already completed the Foundation Course.  If they have not had the opportunity to attend the course prior to application, they must attend a course at some point in their training.
